Advantages of Fat Transfer

  • Fat transfer uses your own fat tissue.  This means that there is no chance for an allergic or adverse reaction.
  • We can now use larger fat volumes to provide even bigger results.  Other facial fillers are priced in the range of $500-$1000 per milliliter.  Up to 1-2 liters of fat can be harvested and used on multiple body areas for far less than what it would cost to use dermal filler products.
  • Fat is also long lasting.  Once the fat settles and gains a blood source, that fat is permanently in place.  Other dermal fillers, such as Restylane or Radiesse last for 6-12 months.
  • The fat transfer procedure is low risk.  All Innovations Medical fat transfer procedures are performed while the patient is awake.  This leads to less downtime, and most of our patients return to work the next morning.  The fat is harvested using Tumescent Liposuction, a safe and widely used office based procedure.
